Blood Alcohol Content Calculator
California Vehicle Code section 23152(a)(b), the specific law that discusses driving under the influence of Alcohol or Drugs states:
"It is unlawful for any person who is under the influence of any alcoholic beverage or drug, or under the combined influence of any alcoholic beverage and drug, to drive a vehicle.
It is unlawful for any person who has 0.08 percent or more, by weight, of alcohol in his or her blood to drive a vehicle."
Blood-Breath Alcohol Concentration (BAC) is the amount of alcohol in the bloodstream or on one's breath. BAC is expressed as the weight of ethanol, measured in grams, in 100 milliliters of blood, or 210 liters of breath. BAC can be measured by breath, blood, or urine tests.
Instructions: Please select drinks consumed, time period, gender, and weight then click the "Calculate your BAC" button:
Use this calculator to instantly compute your estimated blood/breath alcohol concentration.
Your actual Breath Alcohol Concentration (BAC) is dependent on many complex factors, including your emotional and physical condition and health, and what you've recently ingested (including food, water, medications and other drugs).
You should not consider this to be a guideline for how much you can drink and still drive responsibly, or avoid being arrested! The best policy is DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE.
If you or anyone you care about has been arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI), drunk driving, please contact a California DUI Defense Attorney at once.
